A level 1 daemon with no contracts signed is a horned person with a bow. The same character eight sessions later, with a full ledger walking into a room of their own debtors, is a genuine problem for the encounter math.
It is the only class I know of where the answer to "is this overpowered" is honestly "depends what your GM let you arrange."
